The Experience

The holistic concept combines an alkaline diet with beneficial exercise, relaxation and mindfulness. The energy and support of your fasting group, your sensitive and competent fasting guide make your fasting days in any case a vacation with a lasting recovery effect.

The online fasting group meets 4 times online during the fasting period starting at April 22nd to share experiences, to learn more about fasting and its benefits, nutrition and the build-up days.

Treat yourself to this health-promoting relaxation week in the group under my expert guidance and promote your health, whether at home on (remaining) vacation or in the Corona-related home office.

The information evening will take place on Thursday, 11.03.21 at 6 p.m. where you will receive a timetable through Lent, shopping and preparation lists, recipes and a question and answer session. The documents and prescriptions are sent by email, if necessary I will also send fasting aids by post.

At the meetings via zoom, I will systematically and empathically guide and motivate you through your fasting period.

What is an alkaline fast?

Just like any other therapeutic fasting, alkaline fasting is a method of profoundly relieving and detoxifying the body for a limited time. With alkaline fasting, therefore, all acid formers, including healthy ones such as whole grain products and legumes, are avoided.

Alkaline fasting is done within a limited time. It is not designed as a permanent diet. With alkaline fasting, you eat 100% alkaline foods — only alkaline formers such as fruit, vegetables, oils and some types of nuts are allowed. During this time, your body has the opportunity to relieve itself of the many acidic eating habits and to feel a little better again.

Why would I want to do it?

Eating an alkaline-rich diet is the best way to permanently nurture ourselves. While alkaline fasting only includes alkaline building foods, everyday nutrition should be balanced and wholesome. This also includes acidic formers on the menu again, which are completely omitted with base fasting. In spite of their acidic effect, the acid formers provide us with healthy ingredients that should not be missing in the long term.

The acid-alkaline balance should be permanent, with our daily food and drink intake, there should always be an excess of alkaline in our diet. Think of it as an 80:20 rule: 80% alkaline builder and 20% the best possible acid builder.

Hi I am Diane, born in Germany and living in London now for 15 years. My enthusiasm for nutrition runs like a red thread through my life. I was a keen swimmer in my early teens and went on to become a personal trainer. My fascination in the human body and the importance of keeping it healthy, led me on my journey to train and become a bodyworker, yoga teacher and most recently and fasting guide. My philosophy is that everyone is individual. That is why every therapeutic approach in my work is precisely tailored to the individual. As an alternative practitioner, I always look for hidden reasons for anyone’s health issues. Not the individual body condition is treated, but the whole person. The Individual with everything that makes him/her -his/her body, mind & soul, peculiarities, experiences, and history. I am also a reiki practitioner, hold women circles, facilitate workshops, and host retreats. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time in nature and love to experiment in the kitchen as I believe in the mantra: “Let food be thy medicine.”

Tell us more about what brought you to the path that you're on, the "why" behind your business and your offering(s), what excites you most about the work that you do, etc...?

I believe Nutrition is the direct connection between us humans and our environment. The Wild times of 2020 made it clear to us that there are many links between human health and the health of the earth. Everything that keeps us alive has its origin in the ecological systems of the earth and its inhabitants. If the habitats remain large enough for the animals and the air, water and soil remain clean enough, our respiratory tract and our immune system are less vulnerable. I always attached great importance to a naturally healthy body, which is why I have been passing on my knowledge as a fasting guide. I am fascinated to witness changes individuals go through once they commit to a healthy diet.
